took 198 after work. sit myself at the outer seat (away from window) minding my own biz (daydream) a man got on the bus. standing two seats away.

continue daydreaming.

suddenly he stroll over
‘excuse me’
and proceed to climb in.
WITHOUT waiting for me to excuse him.. aka to give way.
yeap. he brush against my legs.
come on! sbs bus arent that spacious. how could you, being a grown up man attempt to climb in without me giving way to you?!

immediate response –
‘that was so rude’

he stared at me. shocked at my words.

i am shock at my own reaction. but manage to maintain a cool facade & gave him the look strictly reserve for cockroach.

shocked tat i managed to deliver those words in a cool and controlled manner. there wasnt a trace of anger in my voice. you could almost hear the ‘tsk tsk’ at the end of my 4 word sentence.

surprised at my courage.
pleased that i managed to express my view.

think abt it.
how do you give way to others on the bus?
as a woman, i swing my legs out, allowin the person to step in.
as a man, the man will usually stand up, allowing the person to step in. (which is the correct method)

mad was an understatement.

simple incident. yet noticed how much i have grown.
instead of keepin quiet abt it. i ‘take action’ it might be only words but it beats keepin quiet & suffer silently.
